The starter is attached to the ack side of the transmission. It is very difficult to see from above. If you crawl under the car it is towards the firewall side in the middle. You will see the orange cylindrical oil filter and the starter is to the left of this. Your vision of the entire thing will be slightly obstructed by a larger bracket but you should e ale to see it from a side view and it has a sticker on it that says starter motor
