The Arms.
There are thousands of arteries in the human body ranging in size. The biggest artery is the Aorta which is located at the top of the heart. An artery is a vessel that carries oxygenated blood.
The superior or the upper extremity is served by the subclavian artery and vein. Subclavian means below the clavicle bone.
THERE ARE 20 ARTERIES IN THE HUMAN BODY.
Arteries do neither
The right subclavian artery extends from the brachiocephalic artery to the right side of the body. It supplies oxygenated blood to the arms.
The aorta is the largest artery in the body. It extends upward from the left ventricle of the heart, arches over the heart to the left, and descends just in front of the spinal column. The first portion of the aorta is the "ascending aorta," which branches into the "arch of the aorta." Three major arteries originate from the aortic arch: the "brachiocephalic artery," which supplies blood to the brain and head; the left common carotid artery and the left subclavian artery.
There are arteries branching off your heart, one in your wrist, one near your trachea (in your neck), and one in your ankle.
