This info. relates to a 3.6l V6 VZ Commodore. Get down on your hands & knees and look under the car from the front bumper. You will see the sump plug facing you. The only tool I had success with in removing the plug was a 'Crescent' adjustable wrench. The sump will take 6.5 litres of oil. If you wish to replace the oil filter, it is located in a vertical metal canister on the passenger side of the engine bay. To access the canister, lift the plastic engine cover up and there it is.
On 1998 year ,The sump plug is on the bottom of sump at the rear right.

The flasher unit relay location on a 1997 VT Commodore is under the steering column. The door has to be opened to reach the relay.
