There is no transmission oil temperature sensor on a 1995 Ford Escort.
The 2002 Ford Escort zx2 does have an air intake air temperature sensor. The sensor is at the top of the engine on the drivers side.
In the Ford Escort LX this particular sensor is typically located in the engine. In particular if you are looking for this sensor it is important that you look on the driver's side of the engine.
the sensor is located on the thermostat housing
The temperature sensor is probably bad
The temperature sensor is on the water outlet housing. This is where the big hose from the top of the radiator meets at the engine.
the back of the block
The temperature sending unit on the 1995 Escort is on top of the engine. It is mounted at the thermostat housing, where the top radiator hose comes in.
The coolant temperature sending sensor on 1.9L & 2.0L engines (on '96 and earlier) are located on a cooling tube or into the themostat housing (usual position).
It doesn't have it's own sensor. It recirculates exhaust gas according to the engine temperature and 02 sensor.
