On the 2000 Firebird 3800 V6, the PCV valve is under the MAP sensor. It is on the top of the engine on the upper plenum.
The PCV valve should be installed in the top of the valve cover on the driver's side of the engine , towards the firewall.

As I Just found out on mine, it is as listed for the 2002 and on top of motor under a plate marked PCV. It has 2 10 millimeter bolts holding the cover. Don't know if there is a trick yet on replacing, since there is a spring also under the cover.
