The alarm control unit is in the drivers side footwell, next to the accelarator pedal.
It's the Black box with 3 plugs fitted, part no depends on the year of manufacture.
Be careful not to bend any pins, whilst plugging the connectors back into the unit.
Mk1 Mondeo had Infra red receivers in the door handles, whilst the MK2 had an RF type system. This is usually denoted by a 3 Button Key remote.
