The alternator blocks access to it. You need to remove the serpentine belt, then the alternator to get to the thermostat.
Just follow your top radiator hose from the radiator to where it attaches to the engine. This is your thermostat housing. Drain the radiator, take the hose clamp loose, remove the two 10 mm nuts from the housing and GENTLE tap the housing. This will expose the thermostat to you. Make sure you get a new gasket along with the new thermostat.
You could have a stuck thermostat or your cooling fans aren't working.
Trace your top radiator hose to the engine. Where you see the hose attached, is the thermostat housing. It's kind of on the side of the head. Held in with two 10mm nuts. Real simple job.
Drain the radiator, undo the top hose from the thermostat housing, take the two bolts holding the housing onto the engine, gently tap it loose and you'll see the thermostat. Just pull it out and put the new one in. Be sure to use a new gasket. Reusing the old one isn't recommended.

Trace your top radiator hose to the engine. Where it stops is your thermostat housing. It should be under the distributor. It has 2 10mm size nuts that have to come off, then you can remove the housing and pry the old thermostat out. Of course you have to drain some of the anti-freeze out before you begin and you'll need to disconnect the top hose from the thermostat housing. It only takes about 20-30 minutes to do this little job.
