In a housing that attaches to the water pump at the rear of the engine. Follow the top radiator hose down to the water outlet on the engine. The stat is in the water outlet. AT THE END OF THE UPPER RADIATOR HOSE ( ENGINE END)
back of right head
Under top engine cover that says 32 valve Northstar between both cylinder heads. Good luck
Assuming it's a Northstar, it is inserted into the valve cover nearest the firewall on the passenger's side near the coil pack.
Assuming its a Northstar engine--under the intake manifold --cant be seen until disassembly The starter on my 1994 ElDorado is located underneath the intake manifold.
if you have the northstar engine it is located in the center of the block. you must remove completely the intake manifold to access it. if you have a4.9 it is under the left side near the a/c compressor
what solenoid are you referring to
I Bet You Have A Northstar Engine. Your Starter Is Under The Intake Manifold If So. To Replace This Is Nothing Short Of A Nightmare. If This Is What You Have Expect To Pay A Large Service Bill To Have It Replaced. Thanks General Motors
It is NOT on the upper radiator hose, it is where the lower hose connects next to the air filter housing. You do not need to disconnect the hose, there are two 10mm bolts that come off and the thermostat is inside this housing.
under the intake manifold
on the middle of the steering wheel
starter is inside engine.yes I said inside.intake valley and injection system removed, starter is in valley.Big job!!!here it is!The starter on a northstar engine is located beneath the upper intake plenum. This is correct. I have had one replaced on a 95 eldorado. I suggest you go to your favorite auto parts, buy the starter and take car and starter to GM and let them change it. Buying the starter yourself will save around 300.00. .
The starter on a 1993 cadillac assuming that it has a 32 valve northstar the starter is underneath the intake manifold
