well you didnt really give too much information about what kind of motor your car has so let's say it's a 2.7L lx model? the thermostat is located about a foot down on the front of the motor, but still behind the radiator. it's pretty easily accessible. be careful if you're trying to replace it yourself tho, because sebrings has pretty complicated cooling systems. if you testdrive and the problem isn't fixed, the pressure's liable to burst a small hole in the radiator, and then you're looking at $900 parts and labor, just for them to try to replace the water pump, which means the timing belt kit as well. it most likely is the head gasket... sorry for the bad news.
Yes, that is the proper refrigerant.
Yes.Yes.
Yes
It uses 5W30 conventional.
The convertible and four door sedan use the same engines.
Under the front passenger seat.
Coupe, under the hood. Sedan and convertible, inside the driver side fender.
It is behind the engine mount on the radiator side of the engine.
Not unless it is worn.
5w30 Engine oil... "Engine oil" -- funny, but not an answer. I have a Chrysler Sebring convertible with the 2.7 engine that just turned over 200,345 miles. A mechanic told me my engine is a flawless as it is because I have been using Mobil One oil in it for the past 5 years. - Howard
A 2003 Chrysler Sebring is fuel injected and does not have a choke.
For the 2.7l engine, the thermostat housing is all one piece. The housing is located under the alternator and attached to the engine block.
