Lift the hood and look down beside the left engine fan you will see a large black hose leading to a silver aluminum water neck. This neck or fitting has two bolts 10mm I think. Remove the water neck and there is your thermostat. When replacing the thermostat I recommend using a cooler 160 degree unit. This will not harm the engine or your fuel economy and it will make your all aluminum LS2 6.0 live a longer life if you love your car.
