It is attached to the throttle body.
On the throttle body.
The TPS (throttle position sensor) would be found on the throttle body on the opposite side of the throttle cable.

The function of an air control sensor of a 4.3 1991 S10 is to determine the amount of air that the idle air valve allows to pass trough it and bypasses the throttle plate.
Yes it does. standing in the front of the engine it will be bolted on the left side of the TBI / Throttle body injection unit.
The idle sensor on a 1991 S10 4.3 can be located at the engine bay.
t.p.s throttle position sensor
The function of the knock sensor ob a sensor on a 1991 4.3 s10 is to provide the computer the position of the crank shaft to give it the right information to get correct timing. That would be the crank position sensor. The knock sensor monitors the engine for spark knock (ping) so the ECM (Engine Control Module) can retard the timing to eliminate it.
If you have a carburator, there is no position sensor. If you have a Throttle Body or fuel infection, it is on the same shaft that moves the butterflys inside the assy. Where your footpeddle cable and cruse control cable connects, the position sensor is on the opposite side of the throttle body from that on the same shaft. Held on the side of the assy by two small bolts with a electrical connector.
