Yes
The best Toyota supra ever i believe it is the twin turbo. But if not still saticfied you should buy a new engine.
4.6 L engine, twin over head cams.
Saturns 91-02 are distributorless engines and therefore have no ignition timing adjustments.
If it is the 3.4L Twin DOHC version, it is a monstor job. This motor has timing belt and timing chain. The entire front cover of the engine has to come off to replace both.
First put the #1 piston all the way up in the cyl.Make sure your crank shaft timing mark is lined up.There's another timing mark on the left side as you look at the crank shaft on the other gear(intermeteate gear). It too must be lined up. Put your cam gears timing marks together with all the valves closed on #1 cyl.
It is a chaion driven twin cam engine no belt to worry about
I can't say for sure, but I have a 2001 Prizm and called some mechanics to look into having the belt changed, and they told me I didn't need to because it has a chain. According to the repair manual from 1993 through 1997 the Prizm used a timing belt and was an interference engine. From 1998 until end of production the Prizm used a timing chain. same with its mechanical twin, the Toyota corolla.
on the twin overhead cams, four notches that have to line up with a straight edge with 2.0 front up for 2 liter motors and 2.4 front up for 2.4 liter motors and the bottom mark is behind the lower front cover ,after you remove the harmonic balancer, and the plastic cover
Timing marks for twin cam 1.6L B6 engine. When crank pulley is at TDC on the compression stroke, 'E' & 'I' on the camshaft pulleys should be at 12 o'clock. Too easy.
