where is the fuse for the traction control module located on a 2000 Cadillac Seville
Traction control is part of the ABS (antilock brake) module.
The 2000 Cadillac traction control module can be found on each wheel. There is a total of four traction control modules.
THE TRACTION CONTROL SENSOR IS INTERGRATED INTO THE ABS CONTROL MODULE. EBCM (ELECTRONIC BRAKE CONTROL MODULE). THIS IS LOCATED ON THE DRIVER FRONT INNER FENDER WELL. THIS UNIT HAS STEEL LINES AND ELECTRICAL WIRE COMING OUT OF IT....WHEN THIS MESSES UP ABS LIGHT AND TRACTION CONTROL DOES NOT WORK.. DEALER PRICE ON EBCM IS $850.00 PLUS LABOR!
On a 2004 Chevy Impala, the traction control sensor is located in the ABS pump module. On the driver side of the car, the sensor is located at the left center of the engine compartment with black wires hanging from it.
It is possible that the traction control module is not working and may need replacing.
The acronym is not abstraction control module. It is ABS/Traction Control Module. In other words, the ABS Module is also the Traction Control Module. The same module performs both functions, that is, ABS or Anti-Lock Brakes, and it performs Traction Control functions as well. In "shop-speak" however, even tough the module has both functions built in, we usually do not call it an ABS/Traction Control Module. We simply call it an ABS Module. That is probably why you have been unsuccessful in getting info on it. When you refer to it as an abstraction control module, you will just get a blank stare. Nobody will know what you mean. You are really looking for the ABS Module. The module you are looking for is located on the passenger's side of the car, down low in the engine compartment. You may be more able to see it from the underside of the vehicle, once the lower plastic shield is removed. It will be rather large, about 4 inches by 4 inches square, mounted to a metal bracket, and have several brake fluid lines going into it, and a large 1 inch by 3 inch electrical connector plugged into it.
It is a sensor that monitors wheel speed and sends that info to the abs module and/or the traction control module.
body control module located
The transmission control module and engine control module are one part and are located under the hood.
Where is the control module located on the 1983 Chevy blazer
There is no such thing as a 'traction control sensor'.But, If you are referring to the "Traction Control System", there are Many components that make up the Traction Control System. The heart of Traction Control System is the "EBCM" (Electric Brake Control Module). The EBCM monitors the wheel speed sensors for Drive Wheel Slip. When drive wheel slip is noted while the brake is not applied, the EBCM will enter "Traction Control Mode".When vehicle enters Traction Control Mode, the EBCM sends a request to the "PCM" (Power Control Module) to reduce the amount of torque to the drive wheels. If the engine torque reduction does not eliminate drive wheel slip, the EBCM will actively apply the drive wheel brakes. The EBCM in the 05' Buick Terraza is located on the "BPMV" (Brake Pressure Modulator Valve). In other words, the EBCM is mounted on the Antilock Brake Controller.
