The 2002 Chevrolet avalanche horn and trailer lights have different fuses. The fuses can be found in the fuse box. The location of the fuses can be found on the inside cover of the fuse box.
If they both stopped working at the same time - check the fuse. Fuse # 20 in the underdash fuse panel.
check the fuse in the underhood fuse box. There are separate fuses for the trailer turn circuits and tail lights. If the fuse is burnt, replace and reconnect the trailer. If the fuse blows again, check the trailer wiring for a short on the park light wire.
under the hood you should find a small 10A or 15A fuse. There is a separate fuse for the trailer turn signals.
Ford has a separate fuse and panel for the trailer lights. In 2002? they incorporated these fuses in with the main fuse panel I believe. Prior to 2002 these fuses were in the power distribution box under the hood. I would start looking for a 7.5 amp or 10 amp mini-fuse.
how do you remove the wiper arms on a 2002 CRV?
In case you want to disconnect it you can just pull out the 7.5 daylight fuse under the dash. There is another fuse market 10 that does not need to be pulled.
There are about 5 fuses for the trailer harness, Trailer Back up,Trailer left turn, Trailer right turn, Trailer Brake, and Trailer hazards. They are located in the underhood fuse box on the Drivers side of your motor. On my 2003 Silverado, the Trailer left/stop and Trailer right/stop fuses are located in the fuse panel just inside the driver's side door. (Not sure about the trailer brake or hazard fuses.....I wasn't having problems with those :). There is one additional fuse for the trailer harness. The 15A fuse for the trailer running lights is located in the fuse panel under the hood, next to the battery. The fuse is labeled "Trailer Park".
Fuse # 7 - 20 amp maxi-fuse - for trailer park lamp and trailer stop lamp
I imagine a 2002 would have similar wiring to a 2000 Explorer which I've just discovered myself has 2 fuses dedicated to the factory installed trailer wiring. Fuse #3 is for the left trailer signals and fuse #7 is for the right. Hope this helps someone to avoid all the hassle I went through to figure this out.
In the under-hood fuse box - it is Fuse #8.
The 2002 and up CRV should have a timing chain.
