how do you remove the wiper arms on a 2002 CRV?

You need a wiper arm removal tool. Look on ebay.
# Raise the rear wiper arm finish cap to expose the wiper arm nut. # Remove the rear wiper arm nut (1). # Lift the rear wiper arm assembly (2) away from the rear window and remove the wiper arm from the pivot shaft. The cap tilts up toward the arm
get a wiper removal tool and it goes under the arm and you just pry the arm up off the splines to take it off.
Under wiper arm flap is a grub nut, Undo nut and use a Wiper arm removal tool (there not expensive approx £10) Remove Arm and Replace with New
To remove the wiper arm on a 2008 Chevy Impala, first lift the wiper arm away from the windshield until it is in a vertical position. Locate the small plastic cover at the base of the wiper arm and gently pry it off to expose the nut underneath. It is located fastened to the firewall just about iommeidiately below the hub of the right side windshield wiper arm.
it just pulls up off of the splines on the motor stud, you can buy a wiper arm removal tool to make it easier to get off.

Now I am working on this from the standpoint of my 1996, I assume they are the same. I could be incorrect: Look at the wiper arm from the bottom, you will see a small tab, if you pull the wiper away from the window, and then pull the tab to the bottom, you will lock the wiper away from the glass. if you bull the tab all the way out you will then be able to pull the wiper arm off from the pivot point. The hose is attached to the wiper arm by a clip, you can simply unclip it if this is a temporary thing, for long term removal, I am not sure as I have never had the desire.
