It is not a dipstick, even though the manual says it is. It is actually a screw cap, black, to the right of the engine block, set down. There is NO WAY to check your fluid level, except go to a dealership, where they in inject it with fluid from the bOTTOM. Crafty, aye!!
On a 3.5L V6 the automatic transaxle fluid dipstick is on the driver's side of center between the engine and radiator. It is a black ring (not yellow as indicated in the owner's manual) that is recessed about four inches below the valve cover. Very hard to see.
There's probably no dipstick on a Sunfire that new. You need to add fluid at the transaxle itself. There's a plug in the side of the transaxle that needs to be removed to check or fill the fluid.
The manual transaxle ( transmission ) on your Ford Escape does not have a fluid level dipstick like the automatic would normally have ( it is probably checked at the FILL PLUG on your transmission , underneath the vehicle )
NO SUCH THING never was The master cylinder should be semi-clear colored and marked on the side with a full line
by the dipstick !! : )
Transmission fluid is added down the dipstick tube.
You can locate the transmission fluid in your 2004 GMC Envoy by using the transmission fluid dipstick. The transmission fluid will be in the transmission fluid pan.
The dipstick for the 2004 Honda Accord is located beside of the battery. A funnel is needed to reach the tube to add fluid.
Nope, it doesn't have one. It's considered to be a "sealed" transmission, and you shouldn't need to check the dipstick. However... you SHOULD have the transmission serviced according to the maintenance schedule in the owners manual. When the transmission is serviced, the fluid is drained, the filter is replaced and the transmission is filled UP TO an overflow hole on the side of the transmission. But there is no transmission dipstick.
If it is an automatic, then all cars have dipsticks. But if the Saturn is a stick-shift it wont have a dipstick. Edit: all cars don't have tranny dipsticks, my sister in law has a 2004 Saturn Ion L2 and there is no visible dipstick.. (still looking, cant seem to find an answer ANYWHERE)
Motorcraft MERCON - V automatic transmission fluid for the automatic transaxle Motorcraft Full Synthetic Manual Transmission Fluid for the 5 speed manual transaxle ( according to the owners manual )
