It is not a dipstick, even though the manual says it is. It is actually a screw cap, black, to the right of the engine block, set down. There is NO WAY to check your fluid level, except go to a dealership, where they in inject it with fluid from the bOTTOM. Crafty, aye!!

On a 3.5L V6 the automatic transaxle fluid dipstick is on the driver's side of center between the engine and radiator. It is a black ring (not yellow as indicated in the owner's manual) that is recessed about four inches below the valve cover. Very hard to see.

When the transmission is serviced, the fluid is drained, the filter is replaced and the transmission is filled UP TO an overflow hole on the side of the transmission. But there is no transmission dipstick.
