From there the pan is held on by numerous bolts which circle the pan. Once removed the filter is located inside. You will need a new gasket to go on when you re install the pan. I don't believe ther is one on this transmission, just the fluid gets changed. If there is a filter, it would be replaced if transmission is overhauled.
