Inside the front of the transmission. The torque converter sits up against it.

Either 10w30 or 5w30 are fine.
depends on the mileage.....for a 1988 dodge shadow with over 100000 miles its 5-30...to be sure either go to or call any auto parts store and have them run the information for you.
i'm not sure for that transmission, but i know for my trans, (GM 3T40) the band adjustment is the piston itself. if you look at the shaft on the piston, you might notice a couple of lines cut out on it. If so, that's the adjustment.

For testing purposes only you can jump the fuel pump relay (#30 and #87).
The Haynes Repair Manual says to use 5W 30 engine oil if you have over a hundred thousand miles. for an 88 shadow there is a rubber plug on the drivers side of the transmission, about halfway up the casing. you know if you need to add more fluid if you can remove the rubber plug without anything leaking out. If it seems dry, stick your finger into the hole and try to feel the fluid level. to add more fluid to it you have to use a funnel with a rubber hose attached to it and gravity feed the oil into the transmission.
30 ft. lbs is recommended
your water pump is at the front of the motor twards the bottom of the vanlook at the pullys the water pump is the only one that the smooth side of the belt runs on and has three or four bolts on the front of it
It depends where you go. I usually go to O' Riley's or Murray's, but I have a 2011 dodge ram. It usually is about 30 bucks. You can get the special tool online if you search around.
