The water pump is located on the left side of the car. If you are looking under the hood, it is the upper pulley closest to the grill.
The bearing has failed in the water pump. The pump will need replaced.
Failed water pump bearing.
Look at the radiator fan, behind it you should see a pulley. The pulley is connected to the water pump. The center pulley is attached to the water pump. It is not a hard pump to replace, just a pain in the rear to do so. Y-THINK-Y

The water pump is on the front of the engine. It should be close to the center of the block with a pulley for the drive belt on front of it.
Original pump would have a bolted on pulley.
Not sure on a '94, but on a '90 w/ a 1.6 you just remove the pulley bolts on the water pump, take off the pulley and belt, remove the thermostat housing on the side of the water pump, and then remove the water pump bolts. After that you can take off the water pump.
take drive belt off first. then turn water pump pulley. notice the hole on front of pulley. use this to access all pump bolts behind it.
The 1994 would have a bolt on pulley while the 1998 had a pressed on pulley. Other than that they are same. A new pump would be of the pressed on pulley style. The 1994 would have a bolt on pulley while the 1998 had a pressed on pulley. Other than that they are same. Probably behind the pulley that is most centered on engine
It's behind the pulley with the fan on
The water pump is behind and above the crank pulley in the center of the front of the engine. It requires extensive disassembly to replace, the crank pulley and timing cover must be removed..
