I am working on that right now. It is behind the timing belt cover next to the distributor. For a 23 year old truck I broke the clip on the wire and so I need a new one. Courtesy Parts Nissan 24079y and 22630. Might as well replace all of it. I should have replaced it when I did my timing belt at 120,000 miles. Oh well!

On an '87 it screws into the block right beside the thermostat and apparently requires a special Socket (Alltrade 648830 Nissan Coolant Temp. Sensor Socket)
As with all basic engine configurations and designs, the water temperature sensor is usually located inside or with the water pump assembly. To find the water pump, just follow the large diameter?æhose that comes out from the radiator.
first check battery,then fuses in fuse box,then fusible link.its connected to your positive battery cable,if its burnt or swollen,then replace,also check your starter and alternator and belts.
It is either on the compressor, the smaller ac line, or the accumulator.
