Follow the top radiator hose to the engine. Where the hose is attached to the engine is the thermostat housing. On the left side of the housing, is the Coolant temperature sending unit to the gauge, and on the right side, there is EEC-IV coolant temperature sending unit to the computer.

The 1999 4.7 liter engine temperature sensor is located just above the thermostat housing. The sensor will be on the front of the engine.

The temperature sensor on a 1994 Rodeo 3.2 liter is located on the back of the engine. You need to remove the manifold to access the sensor.
