Because most if not all vauxhall engines are air cooled, hence when you are driving the temp comes down
The most common cause for the water temperature to rise is a nonworking thermostat. Another common cause is a nonworking water pump.
lower radiator hose
..... sense water temperature?
1. Water temperature sensor Intake air temperature sensor cylinder head temperature sensor exhaus temperature sensor and catalytic sensor
could be a number of things, more than likely the sensor, the wiring or the gauge itself, i'd take it to a garage then you can blame them if it goes wrong :P
check around the small rear windows, bath sealant can help.
I'm guessing, but the coolant level sensor is probably in the overflow bottle and it is low. This is so you notice it before the radiator itself is low.
The Temperature sensor for the computer is on top the head. The temperature sensor for the temperature gauge is located under the Thermostat housing.
Most engines have the temperature sensor either at the top water inlet or on the side of the block. Remove the sensor wiring, then unscrew the sensor to replace it.
Your oil temperature gauge will connect to the oil pressure sensor. The water temperature gauge will hook up to the water temperature sensor. The oil pressure sensor will be on the left-hand side of the engine and the water temperature sensor will be on the front of the engine.
