Under the dash, up high, to the right of the steering column
well since the wiper do indeed work, i'd have to bet it's a fuse.
It is the wiper control module mounted on top of the wiper motor. Available at most auto parts stores for just under $30. The salespeople have limited knowledge of this part and will try to sell you everything from a wiper motor to the wiper switch on the steering wheel. The correct name and part number is Wiper Motor Pulse Board Module 81-158pb.
Possible the motor, but before replacing it remove the wiper arms from the motor itself and then run the wipers, if motor works then check both sides right and Left of the arms rust builds inside making it impossible to move, clean it up and lubricate and test it to see if it works.
I have a 2008 Saturn Vue. I was driving during a heavy rain storm, I had my wipers on the fasted they would go. Not long after, the passenger side wiper just quit. The drivers side wiper works fine. Could it be a window wiper motor?
Sound to me like your wiper motor is out. The water pump is totally separate from the wiper motor. Good Luck!!!
The wiper linkage is bad. Or the wiper arm stud bushings (where the arms attach to the cowl) are rotted out.
Do your wipers raise with the switch, but fail to return to the lower position? I'm dealing with this problem right now with a customer. I have replaced the switch on the column since 90% of the time, that is the problem. Quick, cheap fix...but it didn't fix it. The motor is the culprit. This should take about 2 hours to remove and replace.
sounds like the printed circuit board is causing the problem. on some wiper motors you can purchase the circuit board separate from your local auto parts store. and replace it without removing the wiper motor from the vehicle.i hope this helps you out.
but a new blade, or take an engraver and scratch new grooves and pack with metal to fill gap. ive done it it works.
common cause is the wiper motor. Could hotwire it to see if it works or not. If not that then could be the multifunction switch.
if the wiper motor works when you operate the switch then the switch is doing its job the most likel cause of your problem is the wiper armature came loose and needs to be fixed or somethings hung up you need to take the wiper arm assemblys off pull the cowl off and investigate it if you have anymore problems email me at dbertke@cinci.rr.com
There aren't any switches to check/replace i.e. wiper switch, wiper relay therefore it must be a bad motor.
