I have seen reports of 250,000+ I junked mine today at 138k. Cracked cylinder wall, allowing coolant to enter into combustion chamber. Shame, was a lot of life left in the car, but a rebuild was too much for what that car's worth...Undecided if I'll buy another, still have 2010 TDI.
I own a 2003 Jetta TDI and a 2001 Beetle TDI.Pros:VERY easy on the gas (45 for the jetta automatic, 53 for the bug manual)long time between service intervalsdecent low-end torquefun car to driveCons:repairs are very expensiveoil change ~$100 - needs synthetic oilcold weather can cause the diesel to gel in the tank and your car wont startuse #1 diesel in the winter (normally only found at truck stops)never leave less than 1/2 a tank when below freezingThe angle of the windshield on the MK4 Jetta makes rock chips very common on the highway (get full glass coverage)seats not very comfortable on long tripsrear doors open VERY wide so your kids will likely hit cars next to you in a parking lot.
If you want good fuel economy, the SDI is for you. If you want a lot of torque, your best bet is to go for the TDI. The SDI doesnt have a turbo but the TDI does.
google search freds tdi page there is a lot of helpful info
there is no difference between a landrover 200 tdi and a discovery tdi ! A 200tdi is a discovery tdi . I think you mean what is the difference between a 200 tdi and a 300 tdi,in which case not a lot ,apart from slightly different engine and box ,rear lights and bumper and head lights and grille. basically the same motor apart from these few things

Well my openion is if your car has done less mileage and turbo is healthy then it worth remapping, put exhaust D cat in to it and induction kit, then it will be blowing a lot of cars away ;)

IAH is the Houston airport. One can pay to park their car there while they travel. Airport parking there runs about $5.00 for every day that you leave your car in the lot.
