On the stator cover on the right side of the engine. Their will be a 9/16" bolt at the top of the housing, which is your timing hole.
roll engine over until the ( T ) mark is alighned in timing hole with piston to the top . adjust intake and exhaust to 0.15 mm or 0.006 in .
On my 2002 Sportsman 400 the drain plug is on the bottom of the transmission. It is in the large hole in the bottom of skid plate.
If your se is bad anti freeze will leak from the weep hole on the bottom side of the water pump cover really this is the only thing that will happen to the polaris twins

Locate the drain screw on the right of the transmission. Drain oil. Replace screw, then go to the left side and unscrew the fill screw and use a funnel to fill with Polaris tranny oil until its full to the screw hole.
no remove the air box and use open end 10mm. lower bolt will set in the hole when reinstalling no remove the air box and use open end 10mm. lower bolt will set in the hole when reinstalling. sand oxidized aluminum hole where starter goes into and coat with grease if having trouble getting it in place.
I believe the weep hole is the small hole in the bottom of the air breather box that has the rubber nipple on it. Not sure though.
Locate ur oil level stick follow it under the undercarriage and u will see a small Allen wrench nut remove it and ur oil will drain. Refill with a finely trough ur oil level stick hole. Only. Two quartsax
The timing marks are located under the timing cover (passenger side of block behind the drive belt bracket. It is unneccessary to disassemble your vehicle to see them. Just simpy pull the plastic plug off the top of the timing cover. This is the spy hole where you can see the timing mark. The timing mark is very small and can easily be overlooked. gear itself have a hole a bolt 8mm.x 2inch you align hole and tread you got it timing,dodong sabawsabaw ne.
