all automatic transmission pans are on the bottom of the transmission

Yes it was, look above the transmission sjid pan and its right before the muffler.
lok under the vehicle, passengers side, above the skid pan/transmission plate and forward of the muffler.
It is on the driver side of the transmission case, just above the pan. It has three wires and points towards the left rear tire.
Is it manual or auto. If auto drop the pan with all the screws on it. If a manual then there should be a large bolt that says drain on it.
You have to remove the transmission pan.
It's in the oil pan, at the bottom of the engine.
Behind the oil pan
The gasket is probably hardened to the pan and the block. Use a 1" putty knife to wedge it between the pan and block. This should break the seal.
It is in the oil Pan. You will have to drop the oil pan to change it.
