replace your comfort relay
I have a 1972 Corvette and the power window relay is in the shifter console, just forward of the power window switches. I would believe it's in the same place in the '73. Good Luck
They are used on a lot of systems. Fuel pump relay, horn relay, power window relay. Pretty much anything that uses a lot of electricity uses a relay.
It is a little black box attached to the door frame about 12 inches from the window switches towards the back of the car. You can see the wiring harness that attaches it to the switches.
I'm assuming you mean the Window 'relay switch'...which I believe controls the windows and automatic seatbelts. I believe it's located IN the driver's door...where all the window switches are located.
You can find several relay switches on your 1990 Cadillac Sedan Deville. Most relay switches will be in the fuse box. The relay switches will be in the third column of the fuse box.
The power window relay is located in the engine compartment. It is part of a bank of relay switches on the fender wall near the battery.
If all the window switches are not working, I would suspect a common thread like a circuit breaker or the power window relay is bad.
Right windows (front and rear) are fuse H, and left windows fuse G. 1. The power(for all the windows) flows through the K4 power window relay. That relay is powered by fuse #2. 2. Than the power flows through fuses G + H, and to the switches in the forward rear window switches in the center console by the shifter. 3. Power goes through the front switches, to the rear switches, and than to the window motors. 4. Ground is supplied to the motors through the switches as well. Ground to the rear switches is controlled by the "rear window safety switch" located between the front and rear window switches on the center console. - - ----I just sat here for five minutes trying to put into words a description of the the operation of the switches and power flow to the window motors. I cant say I can do it w/out really confusing everyone. If anyone really needs an operational description just message me. Hope this helps.
This is an easy one. There is no power window relay(s) in the Dakota. The control switches themselves act as a relay of sorts, making the necessary polarity switching as necessary to raise or lower a window. When I saw three wires per switch I also thought there must be relays somewhere. Disassembling a switch it became clear there was no need for any relays.
There are several fuse relay switches on your 1985 325 BMW. The fuse relay switches are located inside of the fuse box.
put in a new relay... if the window works it was a bad relay
