Stand in front of the engine. The reservoir is inside the passenger side quarter panel.

The power steering reservoir is in a tough location on this car. It is located at the passenger side, rear of the motor, next to the firewall. The two heater hoses are almost right on top of the cap. You will need a long, bendable funnel to be able to add fluid if need be to reach the reservoir.
To add brake fluid in a 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix, locate the brake fluid reservoir, which is typically found near the back of the engine bay, on the driver's side. The reservoir is a translucent plastic container with a cap labeled "Brake Fluid." Remove the cap and add the appropriate type of brake fluid (usually DOT 3 or DOT 4) until it reaches the "full" line. Be sure to securely close the cap after adding fluid.
The reservoir is inside the transmission. The fluid is stored in the pan underneath the transmission.
With the engine off, remove the power steering reservoir cap, and read the fluid level.
