The Fuel pump in all Fieros regardless of year or engine (assuming stock engine), is in the fuel tank itself. Replacement of the fuel pump requires the removal of the fuel tank from the bottom of the car. The access port is located on the top of the tank. There is no access to it from within the car. On the firewall, directly behind the driver. There are two there. One of them is for the fuel pump.

the fuel pump problaly got ruined when trying to start it with no gas. Spray some starting fluid in the intake. if it fires its your fuel pump.
on the wall in the engine compartment direcly behind the driver side remove the air filter you will have easy access to it
All Fieros have the fuel pump inside the fuel tank By the way you may be having trouble because there was no fiero in 1977, production was from 1984 to 1988 so your car is probably a 1987
no but it can stop the fuel pump from running.
On the front fire wall of the engine compartment to the left of the drives side deck lid hinge mount. If the car is equipped with Air conditioning at relay will be right beside it.
You may have a bad fuel pump, no fuel in the tank or a blocked fuel line.
