yes nearly every one was farming then apart from the lords and the king as they relied on pesants to do all the work and the pesants had to farm all of the land to pay the king to farm his strips of the Land they rented out from the lord. so the pesants all worked and farmed the land just to pay tax and to feed themselves and there family of 1066 to 1485.
