where do you add freon to a 1998 Toyota Avalon. Where is it located ?
thats actually something u have to take to a repair shop to do. make sure the repair shop services the ac for ur car. depending where you go it can be a bit costly depending on the size of each of them.
It's almost impossible to get the old stuff now, so you it doesn't realy matter. You'll need to use 134A in your AC system.
You add freon to the a/c by using the low side, suction side (larger hose).............
When you are going to add Freon to a Toyota Camry, you need to know which type to add. You will need to put the Freon recharging coupler to the recharging kit, and get the engine to operating temperature. When the engine is at operating temperature put the air conditioning on the lowest setting and recharge the Freon with the windows of the car rolled down.
You have to go to Toyota and get the coolant that Toyota makes for their vehicles, DO NOT add GM Dexcool antifreeze, it is not the same.
R134a
Take it to an expert. You are not qualified nor do you have the equipment to do this.
