The marked # 1 position on the distributor cap should face to the rear and slightly towards the drivers side on the 7.5 liter ( 460 cubic inch )
It doesn't have a distributor cap , it's coil on plug ignition

On top of the distributor at the rear of the engine ( it's the cap that has all the spark plug wires connected to it )
on the bulkhead, nearside. near the dipstick. it should beinside the distributor behind the cap. Remove the distributor cap screws, remove the cap and you will see the coil.
The distributor cap is located where the spark plugs cables are connected .They go from the motor to the distributor cap.
