the #1 cyl is on the right side of the motor which is the passenger side of the truck. It's the very front cyl.
The available engines were the 4.7L and 5.9L v8s
4 cyl 1342 6 cyl 123456
On a 1998 it is about 3/4 of the way down the drivers side of the motor (4 cyl.) Middle of the block.
Six cyl or 8 cyl
1342 for a 4 cyl. 123456 for the 6 cyl.
A 2000 Mazda 626 (4 cyl and V6 engines) has a timing belt.
