The by far most common place in is the basement. This is, to my knowledge, both to allow swift and discrete transportation after the autopsy and to avoid having it between other floors, as well as - and I do apologize for saying it this way - the fact that windows etc. aren't really that necessary.

First they put the body on a gurny,then a sheet over the gurny to make sure the body doesnt disturb anybody,then they wheel the gurny down to the morgue in the hospital,or have an ambulance drive it down to the local morgue.
