Dot 3----this is the fluid that is sold everyware buy on price as there is no such thing as bad brake fluid
I have a 2005 Chevy Colorado and it's easy to change the brake light bulb(s). Find the proper screwdriver you would need to unscrew the actual brake light casing at the back of your truck. Once you have done this, you can pull it away from the truck and simply pull the old bulb out by hand and pop in the new one then re-screw your brake light casing back on. Dealership, atleast in Canada, will charge you almost 40$ for this, or worse say it is an electrical problem and run a bunch of unnecessary tests that will cost much more. If you don't know what type of bulb to buy from the store, take the old one with you and reference the number on it and buy the one you need. Good Luck
The switch is located on the brake pedal. Undo bolt & wire & replace switch. Note adjustment before removing old switch if you've not replaced one before. You my want to use a mulitmeter (digital with continuity function) to test it before you buy one.
buy a tap and die set.
