Yumi's hair is purple because the band Puffy's colors were pink, purple, and yellow-green. But for one thing, Ami chose her cartoon self with pink hair, eyes, and on her dress. So Ami now has the color, pink. Yumi was either going to choose purple or yellow-green, but yellow-green looked too bright on Yumi. So then they made Yumi and her cartoon self colored purple. But on pictures, some people made Yumi have bluish-gray hair, or even indigo hair. So that's why Yumi's hair is purple ?
