Under the spare wheel? if not then you might not of got one.
Get the long section of the screw jack handle that came with the truck and insert the end that fits into the screw jack throught the slotted hole above the rear liscense plate location. Engage the end of the jack handle into the spare tire crank mechanism. Place the screw jack turning handle onto the long jack handle and turn counter clockwise to lower the spare tire.
in back in gap between bumper and bed there should be a slot for jack handle to fit through to crank
a jack.
There should be a hole behind the top of the bumper in the body, right above the license plate. Take the jack crank handle and insert it into the hole, and match the end of the handle to the fitting. Then unscrew the fitting. The spare tire will slowly lower itself.
To remove the spare tire on a Mercury Mariner insert the jack handle into the hole provided on the rear bumper of the vehicle. Turn the jack handle clockwise to lower the spare from underneath the vehicle.
Under the floor in the back. There is a handle....lift the floor and there is a jack and the spare
The jack let all the way out you have to move the handle til it lines up and then the spare tire goes over the jack.
Look in owners manual for specifics. To the rt of rear license plate is a 1" hole. You use the handle of your jack kit. Insert the handle rotate to left. it works like a winch. Repeat to raise.
"Handle runs across the radiator support, jack should be on the firewall."
All you need to do is take the jack long handle, and insert it through the small opening in the jamb where the back door is. (you must open back hatch door to see it). Start winding and the spare wheel will start dropping.
with your jack handle and there should be a little package in there with a short piece that hooks on the end of jack handle then slide thru hole in bumper and turn
