What is a sore soft painful bump behind your ear near the back of your earring?

If it is near the back of your earring, you might be having an allergic reaction to the material that your eraring is made of. I have this happen to me as well. I can only wear nickel free earrings. Just take your earring out for a few days and the bump should go away.

How do Post earrings differ from stud earrings?

They are the same thing, both names are used to identify the same piece of jewellery. A post earring is one that has a post that goes through the ear, usually secured with a butterfly, as opposed to a wire, which is generally longer and more flexible. A stud earring is an earring design that sits on the ear lobe as opposed to a drop type earring which hangs from the lobe, or a hoop earring that incorporates the fastening as part of the earring. So, to sum up, a post is one of the ways in which an earring is designed to go through the pierced hole of the ear lobe and a stud earring is a style of earring.

If a earring can't go through what do i do?

First look at the shape of the earring and imagine how it would go through someone's ear. If it still won't go through then clean your ears. It may get any gunk that is blocking the hole! newtest3 hi - this happens to me, and if you haven't put your earring in at the back for a while, the back might be hard to get to - try piercing from the back - with someones help preferably - and it will go through at the front. If you have been trying too much to get it in, then it may be inflamed and it would be best if you left it for a few hours or over night.

How do you heal a infected pierced ear?

I learned infections can get very bad have puss. If it ever does get that bad clean it right away and then remove the earring. Use peroxide or rubbing alcohol to clean the earring and the surrounding area several times daily. If you have a hoop-type earring, this is easily done by rotating the earring. Go to the doctor if it gets worse in a day or two. If it is also bloated and red it is defiantly infected.

How does your earring back go in your ear lobe?

If the back has fallen into your ear canal you might be able to remove it by flushing the canal with warm water. Fill the ear and tilt the head to drain it onto a cloth or towel so you can see if the object flushed out. If that didn't work, some warm sweet oil (see your pharmacist) may be helpful in getting it to un-adhere from the ear wax. If flushing with water or oil doesn't work, you need to see your health professional. If you start probing, swabbing and fishing you will likely damage your eardrum or impact it deeper into the canal.

How do you heal ear infections?

Soak your earring in Claire's ear stuff or Rubbing Alcohol. Then put Neosprin on your ears and your earring. Do this for several days. When your ear begins to get better put earring back in after doing above steps. If your ear gets worse then take the earring out and open a pill and stick the powder in to keep the hole. If no sign of improvement appears after several weeks then go see your doctor. My mom did all of the above to me and my ears are healing now! :DReal Answer:Soap and water daily while moving the jewellery back and forth to allow the soap solution into the piercings, then flush the piercing with lots of warm running water (best to do this in the shower after your shampoo and conditioner). You will see a change in the piercing within 24 to 48 hours. Never use Polysporin or Neosporin on a piercing, it clearly says not to use it on a puncture wound or a deep wound (piercings are puncture wounds).
