Benjamin was Jacob's 12th son, and the only one born in the land of Canaan, on the way from Bethel to Ephrath (Bethlehem), the other sons being born in Paddanaram. (Genesis 29:31-30:25; 31:18) Benjamin's mother, Rachel, died in childbirth, so he had only one full brother, Joseph.
