The Feeding of the 5000 (aka Five Loaves and Two Fish) took place near the city of Bethsaida. Jesus withdrew there upon learning of the death of John the baptist. The mass of people that had been with Jesus, had followed him to Bethsaida. Upon nightfall, his apostles had requested that he send the crowd away so they could get themselves something to eat. Jesus told them to let them stay and that the apostles should give them something to eat. Jesus took the food, looked to the heavens, gave thanks, broke the loaves, and then fed the entire crowd.

Bethsaida
three loaves, to fish
Two fish and five loaves of bread fed 5000.
According to the Gospel of John, the one who told Jesus about the loaves of bread and fish was one of his disciples, Andrew, the brother of Simon Peter.
The boy offered Jesus five loaves of bread and two fish for lunch. Jesus used this small meal to perform a miracle, feeding thousands of people in the crowd.
The bread was barley loaves, and the type of fish is unknown. It is likely to have been the sardine or the musht fish found in the nearby waters.
Jesus is talking about how he feed 5,000 people with two loaves of bread and 5five fish's.
Here it was Jesus and not god who fed the 5,000 people.
back in the bible it talks about Jesus feeds a multitude of people on two fish and five loaves of barley bread. How big was a loaf of barley bread?
He probably ate something like Pitta bread and Olives. Something like that.
fish and loaves
When Andrew found the little boy with five barley loaves and there were exactly two small fish.
The famous incident is the feeding of the five thousand. A crowd of five thousand people had gathered to listen to Jesus preaching, but they didn't bring any lunch (pretty stupid, huh?). Some kid did bring lunch with him; five loaves of bread (not like Hovis sliced white bread or something; probably about the size of a fist) and three fish. Jesus blessed the food, and it was multiplied. The fishes and loaves fed five thousand people: a miracle.
