Read the Narrative of Soujouner Truth, an account of her early life as a slave and later as a major and courageous abolitionist leader, women's suffragist, preacher and feminist. Soujouner was illiterate and dictated her story to Olive Gilbert, a sister abolitionist and femnist. The book was first published in 1850.

people of great affluence and wealth used the tombstones to protect there deceased loved one graves from being robbed by grave robbers looking for bodies to experiment with. Sometime later on a story arose about it being a part of the Jewish religion but I feel that this story is a fable and the truth is people erected grave stones and put them in the middle of the grave so as to discourage grave robbers.
It is the truth that Jesus Christ died. The rest of the story - and equally true - is that He rose, alive, from the grave, under His own power.
