The Battle of Thoroughfare Gap was a Confederate victory on August 28, 1862. The battle was in Virginia and Confederate General Longstreet intercepted a Union force headed for Bull Run.
On August 9, 1862, the cavalry brigade of Union General George D. Bayard was made against a Confederate infantry unit. Infantry gunfire ended the charge. It was a Rebel victory.
First Bull Run (July 1861) - Confederate victory which they were not able to follow-up, being just as disorganised as the Union army. Second Bull Run (August 1862) - Spectacular Confederate victory by the Lee-Jackson partnership, giving them the confidence to invade the North.
There is only 1 Battle of Bull Run (New respondent) There were two battles on that site. First was in July 1861 - a premature attempt by the North to march on Richmond. (Confederate victory). Second was in August 1862 - superb tactical victory by Lee, who managed to prevent the two Union armies from joining forces and overwhelming the Confederates. (Confederate victory).
In February of 1862, Confederate General Henry Sibely marched north from Texas for the purpose of invading New Mexico. He win a narrow victory of Union troops and continued his invasion.

The first Battle of Bull Run was fought July 21, 1861 and was a Confederate victory. The Second Battle of Bull Run was fought August 28-30 1862. It too was a defeat for the North.
Two Civil War battles occurred at Manassas. The first, in July of 1861, saw Confederate troops led by Brigadier General P.G.T. Beauregard win a limited victory against Union forces. The second, in August of 1862, was decisively won by Confederate troops led by General Robert E. Lee.
