When he is shown driving along what's supposed to be the Pacific Coast of Mexico, he is actually driving along a road called North Shore Road; it is east of a place on the island called Cane Bay. The final scene when Red is walking toward him on the beach where he is refurbishing an old boat was filmed on one of St. Croix's best known beaches, Sandy Point. (St. Croix, for those who don't know, is one of the three islands that make up the United States Virgin Islands, or U.S.V.I.)

The above answer is wrong. Buxton is located near Granville...while the tree is near Malibar farm on private land in the area of Mansfield Ohio where much of the file was shot.
