The movie 'Night of the Iguana' starring Elizabeth Taylor was filmed in Puerto Vallarta. There was no real restaurant that belonged there and the company invested 18 million pesos to build the set on the hill top overlooking the bay. A restaurant and bar; bungalows, small floating dock and paths connecting all areas were built.
