No, there is no SCART connection specifically designed for component video (Pb and Pr) cables. SCART primarily supports composite, S-Video, and RGB signals, while component video requires separate connections for the Y, Pb, and Pr signals. However, some devices may have adapters that convert SCART to component video, but this would not be a standard feature.
HDMI cables carry both video and audio. You only need one.
I would look on the your DVD player or TV to find what you need. They should be able to direct you in the right direction.
A component video switch would most commonly be used in domestic situations connected to a television. It allows multiple devices to be connected via component cables to a televisions which normally only have one set of input sockets. The user can then change the input to the television with a flick of a switch rather than time consuming unplugging and plugging in of different cables and sockets.
Component video cables are optical and can vary significantly in build quality so do not only look for the lowest price. Because there are many manufacturers, do your due diligence with this product and look for online reviews before any hasty purchases. Also make sure that this isn't your only option for transmitting video; newer, higher quality cables like HDMI are available and unless restricted by your set, you would do better to pass on component.
Some shops that sell vga component cables are Target, Best Buy and Sears. Also, online shops like Amazon or ebay would sell vga component cables as well.
well yes they are completely different cables, and the hdmi cable only has one cable to connect were for the component cables you have to plug in 5 different cables, but as far as quality i would say they are the same
Composite video runs all of your video through one channel. This is typically a yellow tipped RCA cable - the kind you would hook up a VCR or DVD player with. Component runs three separate video lines that each carry one color, and then they combine in your tv. The colors are typically labeled Y Pr and Pb. To connect that you would need to run three RCA cables, or a triple RCA cable. Component offers a better, cleaner picture.

Check your wiring. You may have connected your component video cables to the wrong jacks. I think the Red and the Blue are reversed.
S-Video cables are generally used for transferring video information from a DVD player, VCR player, or gaming console, to a viewing device such as a television or a monitor. S-Video cables are generally not used anymore because they are lower quality than other new video cables.
I would bury them in conduit at least 2 feet below the surface, more if your location has extended sub-freezing weather during winter. Make sure you are using an audio/video balun and CAT5 cable to connect these, as running ordinary composite, component or HDMI cables long lengths is not possible without great interference or complete signal loss.
