There are several places where one can get PCB (Printed Circuit Board) design software. Some of it is available on commercial licence only, some is available as an open source licence and may be used and developed further for free. Designspark offers their software free for non commercial use and claims that it is as good as commercial software being fully functional and uncut. Eagle offers a commercial solution with prices starting at $69 for a limited package. In the end it is up to you to decide what you need from your PCB design software and take your decision from there.

∙ 10y agoAs circuit design software is a specialty item, and not something that the general public has much use for, it is not as widely available as other types of software. One would need to find a local specialty store that caters to designers and builders of various computer systems. There are free versions in existence that one can access via the internet, however one must be vigorous in one's research before attempting to utilize a freeware program.
