What do you need the diagram for? Did you take the latch apart If so there is no diagram
You can find a front door latch assembly diagram, for your 1996, Mercury Cougar from the manufacturer website. Many auto-parts websites will have the diagram.
Hey Chaton==You may need to get a wiring diagram for your car. MOTORLIT.COM has some I don't know it they have one for your car or not. GoodluckJoe
Sounds like you have the same problem I have. I have to tie my trunk closed with a ratchet tie, because the motorized system kept failing and I did not want to keep spending the money on new replacement motors. Then the trunk finally wouldn't close at all and I have been trying to find a trunk lock so the trunk fits into it, but no luck online, so I will try and find at a wreckers. You can just close the trunk, but it tends to break afrer time.
I found a diagram for the rear door of a 2006 Saturn Vue at this loaction: https://www.google.com/#q=2006+saturn+Vue+rear+door+diagram
You can find the fuse panel diagram in the trunk lid repair kit
There should be an engine belt diagram near the latch that keeps your hood closed.
The diagram o the fuse box is located inside the car near the hood latch. Lift the cover which is held on with velcro and the diagram is inside the panel of the door.
It is in the trunk in the litle compartment right behind the seat there is a protector and u will be able to find the jack and the latch.
theres a chart in the trunk under the mat ontop of the battery
I have the same problem and so far i have only found one solution. Climb in the trunk of the jeep and then remove the handle at the bottom of the trunk door (there will be 2 long bolts) this will release the plastic. Then pop the plastic off the bottom part of the trunk (the plastic will not come off all the way because there are 5 or 6 sheet metal screws holding the trim on around the upper part of the trunk). now get someone to help you, one person (the one with smaller hands) will be inside the car and reach their hand inside the latch housing in the trunk, there will be a threaded rod inside of there and what you need to do is have someone slide it (i dont remember if it is left or right) while the other person works the latch. If you cant get your hands in there (i let my little brother do it) you may find it easiest to use a coat hanger. this should release the trunk and then you should remove the rest of the plastic and tighten up the latch inside the trunk.
There should be a sticker located on the front end of your jeep along side the hood latch with the vacuum hose diagram. If you do not see it there, it will depend on the year as to what diagram you need.
