Paris Obelisk is called "Obelisque de Louxor" as it has been reported of Luxor in Egypt by Napoléon the first. These are hieroglyph that are registered.

I remember once I was showing a group of English schoolchildren round Paris, and I said to them, 'This obelisk is 3,300 years old'. The kids thought for a moment, and then sang 'Happy Birthday to you...'
