I had the same problem and hopefully yours is in the same place I found mine. If you look at the engine bay from the front go to the right corner nearest the firewall. You will see a circular hydraulic line that is similar to a huge corkscrew. My cord was tucked down in the center of this hydraulic line.
A block heater for that vehicle would be an option. If it came equipped with a block heater the cord would be found close to the battery.
A block heater is a device one would use to heat the engine of a car in extremely cold weather. The block heater can be mains generated or will run on the fuel source of your vehicle.
heater core???
because of being poorly made
form_title=Repair Block Heater form_header=The block heater is an important part of any car engine. Keeping it running is important in cold months. When did you notice that the block heater stopped working?=_ Does the cabin heater still work?= () Yes () No Would you prefer a new or used part?= () Yes () No
If the whole system was empty, the radiator, the engine block, the heater core, all the hoses, it would take aprox 11 to 12 qts of coolant to fill the system.
Low coolant in the system. Defective heater control valve. Clogged heater core.
I would not recommend that you try. A block heater is preferred.
If the system was completely empty, the block, the heater core, the radiator and all hoses, the system would take 12 to 13 qts depending if it has A/C or not.
check the switches and the motor
50-100 USD
