If you have a Pokemon that has the ability Pickup in your party, such as Linoone, Zigzagoon, or Phanpy, there is a 10% chance after a battle, it will be holding an item. There is a 10% chance that the hold item is a Rare Candy. Obviously, the more Pokemon with Pickup you have with you, the greater your chances. Other items may be received as well; 30% chance of Super Potion, 10% for Ultra Ball, Full Restore, Full Heal, Nugget, Revive, and Rare Candy, 5% chance of Protein, 4% chance of PP Up, and a miniscule 1% chance of getting a rare King's Rock.
